Journaling
The many articles about journaling repeatedly underline its importance to help with motivation, thankfulness, prioritisation, understanding, discipline, etc.
We agree with all of the benefits of keeping a journal and we have other posts with recommendations of how to beat the blank page. For our foundation stage, however, we want to keep things really simple.
Our journaling suggestion is to write down each of the following every day:
- one action that you plan to complete that aligns with your purpose (no matter how small the action is)
- one thing that you can do for someone else that aligns with the values that you value
- one physical item that you plan to enjoy using today (it could be your car, your favourite kitchen knife, a pen, shower gel, a piece of art, absolutely anything – as long as it’s something you bought or kept on purpose because you do enjoy it)
That is it. Do this daily, at the beginning of each day.
