Release

Let go.

When something comes to an end, it can be really, really hard.

So many things end, for so many reasons. Some leave us feeling like everything else doesn’t really matter. It can make it hard to get out of bed in the morning. What or who has been in our lives gave it meaning and purpose. And now it has gone.

We have to release ourselves.

We have to let go of the pain whilst enjoying the memories. We may need to work through the hurt, the anger, the pride or the mourning. And that is work.

Work for the release. Work through, to bring ourselves back us. The tendency for some is to fill the void left behind. We can try to find the feelings, the benefits, the joy that has been lost. The hole can feel so big, it becomes almost a need to fill it. We work to fill it. We should be working for release.

Working for release is to accept the space. It’s to acknowledge what was once there without feeling the need. Only then can we find our edges and decide which edge to lead with next. The hole can increase your surface area, give you more edges, redefine your limits. This is the new you. This is your new perimeter.

You are complete. You are released.
