There are an immeasurable number of books and stories that tell of the slaying or taming of dragons. The hero is often a brave warrior, sometimes an ingenious thinker and occasionally a reluctant and timid protagonist with their back to the wall.
We each have our own dragons to attend to – challenges at work, relationships, friendships, physical challenges and the mightiest dragons in our own psyche.
No matter what your dragon is, or where it is, your best approach is always to slay it sooner rather than later. In the stories, the slaying of the dragon often comes near the end with the details of the “happy ever after” not being interesting enough to make the cut.
We all want our happy ever afters to be the majority of our stories, so we need to slay those dragons earlier. Imagine if we run out of time? A story without the slaying nor the happy ever after isn’t a story we want to read or want to live.
Grab your shield. Grab your sword. You have dragons to slay.
